Tomorrow’s wealth
Financial advice is the solution to savers’ financial shortsightedness, which, without guidance, risks compromising their long-term well-being.
Financial advice in Italy faces a major challenge: responding to citizens’ growing need for trust. This was the clear and powerful message delivered by Nicola Ronchetti, founder and CEO of Finer, during his speech at the “The Value of Advice” event organized by Wall Street Italia.
The Future of Savings at Risk
50% of Italians still believe that the public pension will be sufficient for retirement. Among young people, this percentage rises to 70%. Someone needs to warn them.
Opportunities for Advisors
Ronchetti outlined key findings from a new study conducted by Finer, highlighting the four main opportunities for those working in the sector. The first is the gap between savings and investments: the gap is not narrowing. That’s where the future lies. When we ask Italians what would help them invest, the answer is simple: finding a trusted advisor. The winning model revolves around the advisor. Italians invest with a horizon of less than five years. Too little. And many feel a bit like Gordon Gekko. But the most effective way to reduce risk is a gradual approach.
Between longevity and trust
The issue of longevity is intertwined with that of advisory services. Generational transitions will reshape wealth and require new skills and relationships of trust.
